Most Golfers Get This Wrong

⛳️ Turning around vs. turning up—here’s the difference.

In partnership with

It’s Thursday and you’ve got this coming,

A lot of golfers I see in lessons come in frustrated because their swing feels stuck:

  • They come too far inside on the takeaway.

  • They lose posture halfway back.

  • And by the top, they’re forced to come over the top.

If that sounds like you, here’s the problem: it’s not just how much you’re turning in the backswing—it’s the direction you’re turning.

How 433 Investors Unlocked 400X Return Potential

Institutional investors back startups to unlock outsized returns. Regular investors have to wait. But not anymore. Thanks to regulatory updates, some companies are doing things differently.

Take Revolut. In 2016, 433 regular people invested an average of $2,730. Today? They got a 400X buyout offer from the company, as Revolut’s valuation increased 89,900% in the same timeframe.

Founded by a former Zillow exec, Pacaso’s co-ownership tech reshapes the $1.3T vacation home market. They’ve earned $110M+ in gross profit to date, including 41% YoY growth in 2024 alone. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

The same institutional investors behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay backed Pacaso. And you can join them. But not for long. Pacaso’s investment opportunity ends September 18.

Are you actually a good putter?

A recent golf lesson thought they were “a good putter” but after a conversation about it, we found out it was the weakest part of his game!

The Misunderstanding

Most players think “make a good turn” means rotating around their body. The problem? That turn flattens the shoulders, stands you up, and gets the club way too far inside. From there, an over-the-top move is basically guaranteed.

The Fix

Instead of thinking “around,” start thinking “up.”

  • Keep your spine angle

  • Let your hands track up so they cover your trail shoulder instead of being under it.

  • Use your trail shoulder as a checkpoint; if your hands are underneath it at the top, you’re too flat.

This little reframe—turning up rather than around—keeps you in posture, sets your arms in the right place, and makes it easier to shallow the club coming down.

Try This

Next time you practice, stop your backswing at hip-high and check:

👉 Are your hands tracking under your shoulder? Too flat.

👉 Are they working more up, in line with your shoulder? Better.

Get this right, and you’ll stop tripping yourself up before the downswing even starts
